Launched in 1935, O’Donoghue & O’Donoghue LLP’s labor law practice encompasses a broad range of union clients and is built upon a proud tradition of excellence.

O’Donoghue attorneys represent international, national, intermediate, and local unions in the private and public sectors. The Firm serves as the general counsel to three international unions in the building and construction trades and a department of the AFL-CIO. The Firm’s attorneys provide advice and representation to these organizations covering all aspects of their affairs. This includes everything from organizing new members and negotiating collective bargaining agreements to administering their internal operations and implementing union policies and programs.

The Firm’s strong breadth and depth of expertise extends to virtually every labor law of consequence to unions, including, but not limited to, National Labor Relations Act, the Labor Management Relations Act (Taft-Hartley), the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure (Landrum-Griffin) Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and the Davis-Bacon and Service Contract Acts. The Firm’s attorneys represent unions in a wide variety of forums, including federal and state courts, the National Labor Relations Board, the Federal Labor Relations Authority, the U.S. Department of Labor and many other departments and agencies. O’Donoghue’s attorneys have also testified before the U.S. Congress, State Legislatures and other government bodies, and over the years have served on a number of government advisory committees.
