Dinah S. Leventhal is a partner at O’Donoghue & O’Donoghue LLP.  Ms. Leventhal focuses on employee benefits, serving as a counselor to a number of the firm’s Taft-Hartley trust fund clients, including both pension and welfare funds. She advises the trustees and administrators of the funds on a wide range of compliance and other legal issues.

Ms. Leventhal has had the opportunity to become particularly familiar with the legal and administrative issues that arise in the process of assessing and collecting withdrawal liability for her multiemployer defined benefit pension plan clients.  Her work includes representing pension funds in arbitration and litigation.

Ms. Leventhal is active in the ABA Section of Labor and Employment Law’s Employee Benefits Committee and is a frequent presenter at its conferences.  Ms. Leventhal is also a Senior Editor of the Employee Benefits Law treatise.  She has been inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel.

Ms. Leventhal earned an A.B. cum laude in economics at Harvard University and earned a J.D. with honors from the University of Maryland School of Law.  Ms. Leventhal served as a law clerk to the Honorable William M. Nickerson of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland in Baltimore before joining O’Donoghue & O’Donoghue LLP as an associate in 1997.
