ERISA COMPLIANCE ASSOCIATE

O’Donoghue & O’Donoghue LLP, one of the oldest and largest union-side labor and employee benefits firms in the United States, has an opening in its Washington, D.C. employee benefits practice for an ERISA compliance attorney with one (1) to six (6) years of ERISA compliance experience.

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include providing advice to benefit plan personnel, trustees and unions on the full range of issues faced by all types of employee benefit plans, drafting and review of plan documents, service provider contracts and participant communications, and representing employee benefit plans and boards of trustees before federal courts and regulatory agencies.

Applicants should possess a deep understanding of ERISA, IRC, HIPAA, the ACA and other applicable law, a strong academic background, superior analytic, research, and writing skills, and the ability to work well with clients, administrators, other employee benefit plan professionals, and fellow attorneys.

LABOR AND EMPLOYEE BENEFITS ASSOCIATE

O’Donoghue & O’Donoghue LLP, one of the oldest and largest union-side labor and employee benefits firms in the United States, has an opening in its Washington, D.C. office for an associate attorney with one (1) to six (6) years’ experience in union-side labor law and/or employee benefits law. The successful candidate will perform both labor and employee benefits work.

On the labor side, the successful candidate’s responsibilities will include advising and representing international, intermediate and local unions on everything from organizing new contractors and members to administering the organization’s internal affairs, policies and programs.  Candidates with experience practicing before the NLRB and its Regions will have immediate opportunities to help workers win the right to union representation in organizing campaigns.

On the employee benefits side, the candidate’s work will include assisting benefit plan personnel, trustees and unions with the full range of issues faced by all types of employee benefit plans, including drafting and review of plan documents, service provider contracts and participant communications.

There will also be opportunities to represent clients in litigation, arbitrations and other venues.
